Marek Wojciechowski Architects were appointed by a private end-user client in 2015 to work up proposals to substantially remodel and extend this detached property on Hamilton Terrace. The property is not listed however falls within the St. John’s Wood Conservation Area where it is recognised as a ‘building of merit’.
The client’s initial brief was to gain planning permission for an enlarged extension to the rear, a new basement level and mansard extension creating a new third floor.
MWA worked closely with planning consultants and Westminster City Council planners during a detailed pre application process, which led to the planning approval for the works in early 2017.
