This project involved an ambitious series of extensions to this neo-Georgian end-of-terrace town house in the St. Johns Wood Conservation Area. The requirements of the owner were to double the size of the existing dwelling. The finished property has a street frontage of 105 feet and extensions to the basement, ground floor and loft, resulting in a net increase in floor area from 1,350 sqft to 3,000 sqft. Marek Wojciechowski Architects proposed to reorientate the house so that its ‘principal’ elevation faced the more exclusive Marlborough Place.

The interior of the property is completely remodelled and furnished to provide extremely light and voluminous principle rooms at Ground and Lower Ground floors and a further 5 bedrooms at the upper levels. MWA provided a full complement of Architectural, Interior Design and FF&E services to ensure a high quality of finish. The garden has also been landscaped by MWA, which furthers our developing interest in landscaping our projects and the strong relationship which our architecture has with its garden setting.
